Exams Results Days
Post-16 Results Day Information – Thursday 14th August 2025
Yr 13 students will be able to collect their A-Level results between 8.30am -11.00am in the Business Centre. Entrance will be via the Sixth Form entrance in E block.
September 2025 Destinations
Once Yr 13 students have collected their results, they will have a quick careers meeting in which they will discuss their destinations for September, whether it be an Apprenticeship, Full Time Employment or University. Any students without a confirmed destination will be offered careers support and advice to secure one. If you are concerned about your destination for September, please contact Miss Dean via email at k.dean@harrisockendon.org.uk.
We are committed to ensuring our students continue to succeed in their ambitious destinations and we know that not all students find the transition from school to post-18 easy. Therefore, in order to support students to remain on a path that is right for their aspirations, we will be in a position to support all students with UCAS, should they wish to adjust their offer or should they need to go through clearing. Places at university for students who need to, or wish to, change their firm or insurance offer are offered by the establishments on a ‘first come first serve’ basis. We therefore encourage students to come to the Academy as early as possible.
GCSE Results Day Information – Thursday 21st August 2025
Yr 11 students will be able to collect their GCSE results from 8.30am in the main hall. Please enter the school through the Sixth Form entrance in E block.
September 2025 Destinations
Once Yr 11 students have collected their results, they will have a quick careers meeting in which they will discuss their destinations for next academic year. Any students without a confirmed destination will be offered careers support and advice to secure one. All students must be in some form of education until they are 18. Education from the ages of 16-18 includes full time education at a sixth form or college, an apprenticeship, or a traineeship. If you are concerned about your destination for September, please contact Miss Dean via email at k.dean@harrisockendon.org.uk.
We are committed to ensuring our students continue to succeed in their ambitious destinations and we know that not all students find the transition from school to post-16 education easy. Therefore, in order to support students to remain on a path that is right for their aspirations, we will be in contact for three years after they leave. This is to offer advice and guidance on making decisions regarding their next steps or managing the challenges that post-16 and/or higher education can pose.
Sixth Form Enrolment
Harris Academy Ockendon is proud of our thriving and successful sixth form and are passionate about our students going onto ambitious destinations. We want our students to choose the right place for them to continue their education, and hope that for most students, Harris Academy Ockendon is the sixth form for them. Yr 11 students who wish to enrol into our Sixth Form will be directed to the Business centre after collecting their results and all students who meet our entrance criteria and wish to enrol will have the opportunity to do so; our enrolment and subject entrance criteria can be found in our course guide on our website.
Students who have previously applied to Sixth Form during one-to-one appointments will be given priority in their chosen subjects. If you would like to make an enquiry about Sixth Form enrolment prior to 21st August 2025 please contact Miss Dean via email at k.dean@harrisockendon.org.uk.
Please note students will be able to collect their pre-ordered Leavers’ Hoodie and, for those who attended Prom, their individual photos, from the Business centre to celebrate the end of Key Stage 4, on the same day.
Uniform Donations
As you may know, we operate a second-hand uniform provision at the academy, which allows us to support those families in need who may otherwise struggle with the costs of purchasing new uniform items. For students leaving Yr 11, we would like to reach out to you to support us in this scheme.
We are asking for donations of HAOC branded items of uniform that are in good condition, specifically kilts, academy blazers, and academy jumpers, that can be re-purposed for other members of our school community in readiness for the next academic year.
All donations are very gratefully received and can be left at our academy reception or brought in on results day.
I am not here for results day what do I do?
If you are unable to attend on results day, please email Ms Meggs k.meggs@harrisockendon.org.uk who will be able to make alternative arrangements.
We’d like to take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful summer and wish all students the best of luck on Results Days.
